Attacking Diplomatic Missions: A Comparison

On 23rd May, 2014, the Indian consulate in Herat was attacked by four heavily armed men. The identity of the attackers or the groups they have been affiliated with has not been ascertained so far.

All four eventually were killed after an 8-hour gun-battle between them and security forces. The Indian consulate is one of most guarded compounds in the city since Indian diplomatic missions have always been on the list of high-value targets for several militant and terrorist outfits operating within the area. What do our T.V serials teach us?

The Indian television scene has changed a lot over the past decades. The analog method of telecast was replaced by the digital signals using satellites. So much has changed in the Indian television industry but the type of serials that are produced hasn’t changed as yet. Even though the bulky television sets at home have transformed into sleek and slim LEDs, but the mindsets of television directors doesn’t seem to change according to the 21st century and that is because they still seem to be stuck with the age old “saas-bahu” wars. There have been serials which were completely out of the box, but sadly could last as long as the conventional ones.

Sometimes you must be thinking “Is it just me or are all serials the same?”  The next time this thought comes to your mind don’t forget that it’s not you but it’s the serials that are actually the same.
