Definitive FIFA World Cup rankings for the Group Stages

Freaks of Football has come out with a definitive list of the Most Influential Players in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. We have taken several data points into consideration while making this list of 30 players who have been responsible for their team’s success in the group stages. We have come up with a normalized score which basically determines the number of points that particular player has made in one game.

We have not taken teams that have been eliminated. This is really simple to understand since these teams obviously did not have any heroes that stood out or took initiative and took their team across the line. No longer the “Mystery of External Affairs”

One thing that India will surely not miss is the complete and comprehensive confusion that prevailed on all issues foreign during the ‘decayed’ of the UPA government. PM Modi’s strategic clarity and foreign policy priority imperatives can also be gauged by his choice of Mrs. Sushma Swaraj as India’s Minister of External Affairs. By placing such a political heavyweight in the Foreign Ministry, the Prime Minister has made it clear without any resort to uncertainty that for him and the NDA government foreign policy will be a key strategic and political priority.
