Beyond the horizon: Piracy

Clad in old, ragged clothes with a parrot perched on a shoulder, black eye patches and wooden legs; these people made enemies walk planks and sometimes ended their lives from those planks; they’ve even buried treasures on lands unknown. They are called pirates and what we know about them is just half the story of what actually happened on those ships and in the minds of men behind those wheels. With the recent crisis in Nepal and various countries flooding in to help out, it is important to understand how helpful “help” is. Charitable endeavors may have good intentions but it is important to know what charity is and its consequences which may or may not do the good work intended.
