India and China establish new liaison to protect Shiva!

India and China to collaborate to conserve a Shiva temple at the Cambodia-Thailand border

The Shiva temple at the border of Cambodia and Thailand is going to witness the coming together of two of the most unlikely of partners. India and China will be co-chairing the conservation initiative to protect and manage the most ancient Shiva temple. Impossible? Unbelievable? Improbable? Why? Who else would come forward to protect the ancient Shiva temple?

Mount Kailash is located in Tibet. The most ancient reference of Shiva comes from Kashi. Not the Kashi that is known as Varanasi, but Kashi, the city also known as Kashgar, located in China. There is more mythology about Shiva that is located across the border from India, than the puranas known in the Subcontinent. If we take a pause, and rethink, who could be the only two nations to come together to protect the most ancient heritage temples of Shiva, it is none other than India and China.
